CHABAD NAPLES

Tashlich at the Beach

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 4:00 PM

At Lowdermilk Park

Join with us as we celebrate the tradition of Tashlich. Based on the verse “Thou wilt cast all your sins into the depths of the sea” (Michah 7:19), we visit a body of water where we symbolically cast our sins into the water and leave our old shortcomings behind us, thus starting the new year with a clean slate. The Tashlich tradition is generally done on the first day of Rosh Hashanah except if the first day falls on the Sabbath, as it does this year. It is then preformed on the second day of Rosh Hashanah.
